Forex trading journal

A forex trading journal built around sessions and costs

Forex results are shaped by two things a spreadsheet usually loses: the cost of carry, and when in the day you traded. SeeResult keeps both attached to every trade.

Costs are part of the result

Swap and commission are included in each trade's net result rather than reported separately and forgotten. For positions held overnight, that difference compounds and can change whether a setup looks viable at all.

Your journal shows gross and net figures side by side, so you can see how much of your outcome came from the market and how much from the cost of holding.

Sessions, pairs and weekdays

Trades are timestamped, so results can be grouped by trading session, by weekday and by instrument. This is usually where a forex journal earns its keep: the same setup often behaves very differently across the Asian, London and New York sessions.

Symbol, session, weekday and month breakdowns are part of the Professional plan's advanced analytics.

  • Per-pair net result, trade count and average trade
  • Session grouping to test where a setup actually works
  • Weekday view to find consistently negative days
  • A P&L calendar for the whole month at a glance

Multiple accounts, one workflow

If you run more than one live account — a separate account per strategy, or one per prop firm — each keeps its own equity curve, statistics and currency. Professional supports multiple connected broker accounts.

Honest measurement, no predictions

SeeResult measures what happened and helps you review it. It does not forecast prices, signal entries, or claim any outcome for your trading. Where a metric cannot be calculated accurately yet, it is shown as unavailable rather than filled in.

Common questions

Is swap included in my statistics?

Yes. Commission, swap and fees are included in the net result of every closed trade.

Can I see results by currency pair?

Core statistics are available on both plans; per-symbol, per-session, per-weekday and per-month breakdowns are part of Professional's advanced analytics.

Are deposits counted as profit?

No. Deposits, withdrawals, credits and balance adjustments are recorded as balance operations and excluded from trading performance.
